Tutorial

The last assignment for this class was to create a project using an online tutorial of my choice. So I choose this tutorial, because it uses illustrator and photoshop, and i liked what i was going to do!
First i did one with my name that didn't come out so good, then I did with my friend's name, i think this one looks better!
This tutorial gives a good idea of light, shadow and reflection that can be used in different projects.

Card Dance

For this assignment, we had to create an animation using After Effects and Card Dance.
That's what I did. When I first saw what i was going to do, i had no idea that the 'dancing cards' was a panel made of different images!
It's a nice technique, and I liked my work. Liked even more after putting the song! ;)

3d

For this assignment, we were to create an anaglyph 3D Animation or series of stills. So I used the photoshop to create my series of stills.
The first part is better to do, just choose the subjects that you want and take the two pictures of the same thing, from two different angle. The photoshop part was boring to do, but worth it when you the the result!
Some of them didn't come out as i thought it would, that's why i did so many (30 I think).

To create this interactive flash slider was really easy,

Just follow the steps and done! ;)
I liked what I did!

Thematic Typography

After trying to do many different theme, i decided to make one based on the word FUR, for 2 special reasons: 1. there are many different furs, 2 it's a small word!

These result was achieved after trying a lot! I used the refine edges to get it like that, and I'm liked it that way! ^^

Radio Wave animation

In this assignment we were to create a radio Wave animation using Afterefects.
To do the animation that I did, doesn't need a lot of time, actually it was easy to do!
But if you want to create something like the this tutorial ( http://migre.me/4yJsn ) you will need a lot of patience and time,
but they are basicly the same thing!
I'm ok with what I did!

3D Still Life using 3D-Coat

For this assignment, we had to do a 3D Still Life using 3D-Coat.
I did what had to be done, but i really don't know when I will use it, but now, I at least know how to do it!
The apple that I painted was easy to be done, not too many things with different color!

Communication cards

For this assignment we should create 4 communication cards, using Illustrator or Photoshop, that matches to the phrases supplied. I used illustrator to create mine!
I tried to keep it as simple as I could, trying to pass the sentence that I had to pass.
That is what I did, (card with its respective phrase):

For me it's easy to see the idea that each card passes, maybe because I created it!
I hope everyone can easily see the message that I meant to pass!

Create a web page using a template

In this assignment we were to create a web page using a template of our choice!

So I downloaded this template:

on the freecsstemplates.org, and modified the things till I have this:

I know how hard it is to create a web page, all the exact size of the divs, images, fonts... but that way makes this job so much easier!

I'm glad with what I did! ^^

Online Photo Gallery

In the assignment 10 I supposed to create an online photo gallery using a premade sample!
I already had the Dreamweaver class, so it was pretty easy to do, but I think that for those who didn't had this class, this assignmet were not a nice thing to do!
I was glad with project, because i used a nice set of pictures! :)

In this assignment, we were to create a set of brushes in photoshop and illustrator!
Create a brush is as simple as use a brush! Learn how to create a brush is really important and can make our lives much easier when creating some kind of work in protoshop/illustrator
I wasn't so inspired when i was creating my brushs, but when the ideas come, I will know how to use this new skill that i learned!

Sticker applied in a binder

In this assignment we should to a sticker!

I used a illustration that i did for other assignment for another class, but I had to modify some aspects of the original illustration to adapt to the requirements of this one. This illustration was made in the Illustrator Cs5, and the text "smile" was specially done for this assignment.

I was glad with the final result of my work, and trying to think about what I will do the the vinyl leftover from this assignment.

Any idea?

3D Pop-Up Photo Gallery

In this assignment we supposed to create an animated 3D Pop-Up Photo Gallery.

To make mine, i used some pictures of mine, the background is a stock photo, and the animation was made in the aftereffects cs5!

I liked the final result, because, despite being very simple, this video has some of my best photos and the song brings me good memories!

Set of lower case letter, numbers and symbols

In this assignment we were asked to create a font set of lower case letter, numbers and symbols.

I created this set of font in the same way that I made the set of capital letters, based on a font that already existed, and played with the pathfinder,

then I edited letter by letter till I have what I was looking for!

I felt satisfied with the result and looking forward to create more fonts!

This assignment taught me a lot!

We should create something using a drawing tablet. I thought it would be a lot easier to draw using this divice, but came out that it's not that easy, and to use it successfully you need to practice a lot!

The original drawing was made by Lou Medina, I just 'remade' it!
In the end I was glad with my job, and now I am even thinking about buying a drawing tablet to myself!

My Video!

I worked hard in this assignment, but i don't know why, in the first version of the animation, the mask didn't work, so it was just the image in the background without any animation! So i did this as fast as I could!
To create this animation, I firstly did the layers on the Adobe Photoshop Cs5, then I sent it to Adobe Flash and animated it.
I didn't really like it with all my heart, but I was happy to learn how to do it!

Introducing myself!

My name is Vinicius, I'm from Brazil and, I'm here in the US thanks to a scholarship offered by the US Department of Stated for students all over the world!

I always apreciated different forms of art, and I'm using this program to improve some habilities and learn many others!

In the future, I want to use all this knowledge that I won in photography's area jobs and, also in the advertisement industry!

These are tow of my art work that i did using Adobe Illustrator CS5, one of my favorite programs!
